Gonex Under Desk Elliptical Trainer

I've had this little under-desk elliptical running for a week and I'm already sold! It's whisper-quiet, glides like butter, and keeps me moving while I answer emails or binge shows. Love that I can bump the resistance up or down, and the remote lets me change modes without crawling under the desk. It's tiny enough to slide right under my workstation. If you're stuck in a chair all day, grab one-you won't regret it.

I didn't know what I'd get, but I needed something to keep my legs busy while I sit at the desk all day. It's small, sets up in a snap, and light enough to scoot around. The remote lets me tweak settings without crawling on the floor. I do wish it had foot straps to keep my shoes from sliding, and I was surprised there's no true "manual" mode-every setting still uses motor power; I'd love to just freewheel. Still, it's solidly built and keeps the legs moving, and I bet it'd be great for post-surgery rehab like a knee replacement, when you want motion without effort.

This under-desk elliptical is whisper-quiet-probably its best trick. It's got a motor with ten speed settings, and you can leave the motor off and just spin if you want. Still, it's meant more for keeping legs loose and blood moving than for any real burn; resistance is pretty light. It's sit-only-no standing-and the big gripe is you have to use the tiny remote to fire it up; the unit has buttons everywhere except an actual START. Remote batteries weren't in the box either, which was a small pain. Power cord is shorter than I figured, so plan on hugging an outlet or grabbing an extension. Upside: it shipped fully assembled, so I was pedaling straight out of the box. Bottom line, it's great for gentle motion while you work or binge a show.

Solid piece-only thing keeping it from five stars is the directions threw me for a loop. I sorted it out after a few tries. What pulled me in was the Gonex name; their laptop bags and packs have always treated me right. I'm banking on gentle elliptical motion to beef up my knee muscles, and the pedal feel is already winning me over-my wife's non-electric one just doesn't glide the same. The manual gets messy because some tweaks (like setting the timer) can't be done with the remote; you gotta hit the main panel. Not sure why they split it that way. At least the unit's got enough heft to stay put instead of skating across the floor-huge plus.

Totally recommend it-just grab two AAA batteries first since the remote ships empty, and snag an extension cord unless your outlet's right under the desk; the built-in cord is short.

I just love this thing. Triple bypass in 2022, end-stage kidneys, dialysis schedule keeps me home. Restless legs steal my nights. Endless TV, same commercial pops up, looked like junk. Spotted a cheaper one on google, took a shot. Boy, ankles, calves, thighs wake right up after a few minutes. Park it in front of the TV every time I sit. Only wish it had arch support, I like running it barefoot.
