Gonex Snake Gaiters

I do a lot of back country hunting and fishing in eastern Kentucky. We have a lot of copperheads and every once in awhile I see rattle snakes. I haven't encountered a strike with these on yet and I hope I never do but they are comfortable and seem to be pretty solid.

I purchased these to wear antelope hunting. There's a lot of snakes out where I hunt. Especially rattlesnakes! Luckily I never ran across any, but my friends did. It was very hot and they do get a little bit warm, but it's better than the alternative and it gave me some sense of security. They covered my boots and came just below my knee.

Seem like really good gaiters. Very adjustable and comfortable. Haven't "tested" them yet but the heavy plastic panels feel really robust while still moving with you as you walk.

My boyfriend loves them. It makes him feel safe when he is weeding in our yard, which, because of our location, has various varieties of snakes.

The gaiters tend to fall down/ slip off after a reasonable amount of walking.

I paid for fast shipment before my trip and didnt get it. Had to leave without. The emails that were sent to me, told me it was on time and would be there. lies. i will not be purchasing anything from this company, and will deter people from doing the same

Very sturdy - protects shoes and laces as well as snake bite protection.

They look great, but we haven't gotten out into the bush yet to give em a try.

I haven’t been attacked by any angry snakes since I received these gaiters, but if the sturdy, stiff material doesn’t stop a strike I am not sure what will. They seem well built and durable.
My only gripe is that the gaiters tend to rotate when I walk, necessitating frequent adjustments that interrupt my walk. Other gaiters I own all have a little hook at the toe to secure them to footwear but these don’t. This would be a simple fix.

They're easy to put on and they're comfortable to wear all day. I wear them with Redwing boots and the coverage is good

I bought these for my son to use while taking his forestry classes. He really likes them and says they're comfortable and not heavy. My husband wants me to order him a pair for hunting. Great gift!

Husband has killed two Copperheads in our dog yards. These leg wraps are heavy duty, very well made. If he's going into high grass or woods he wears them. Wears them wherever he cannot see the ground well. He has not had a strike on this product, but I don't see how a snake could bite thru. Of course, the first line of defense is keep your eyes on ground before you walk. However, Copperheads in dried leaf litter are almost impossible to see.

Ordered these not because of snakes but needed lower leg protection when weed whacking the yard. I was kinda surprised at the really nice quality it is good! It took a bit to get the buckles tight enough and I tell you. It fits! It protects my lower legs from the nasty, nasty rocks and pebbles! In a days work I didn't feel any heaviness in my legs. In fact I forgot I had them on! Don't want to know about snake protection but they work when weed whacking!

I liked that they are lightweight.Would be prefer velcro to adjustable snaps.I need a strap under my boot to keep them straight.

One of the buckle strap storage Velcro is backward (right, top). Need to fold the shin plate to contour to leg. Good armor for those surprise attack. Although I have never encountered snakes that go after me. But if I ever do, hope it's when I'm prepared and wearing it.

With lots of gaiter choices, this was an excellent choice. Easy on off buckles.

Seem pretty solid. Straps adjust well. Get a little warm in the summer but thats the price of doing business in the woods. Better for me than snakeproof boots because of price and those boots are way hotter

They work good not only for snakes but also brush and weeds. Very happy with them.

I don't know about snake protection, but it helps keep rocks from flying out from under my lawn mower and hitting my shins.

nice & lightweight, looks like it would work well

This is the only pair I've been able to get a good fit from. I'm short and my legs are big. The gaiters I've bought before would not wrap around my calves completely. These will go around my calves completely which gives me complete protection from snakes and bugs crawling up my leg.
